We’re looking for an R&D Team Lead to take technical and people leadership over one of our backend teams. In this role, you’ll combine hands-on backend engineering with leading, mentoring, and growing a small team of engineers, while shaping the architecture of systems that protect millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• ▪Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and APIs
• ▪Own technical decisions related to architecture, scalability, performance, and security
• ▪Stay hands-on and actively contribute to the codebase
• ▪Lead, mentor, and support a backend team of 4 - 6 engineers
• ▪Ensure high-quality and timely delivery through planning and prioritization
• ▪Review code and enforce engineering standards and best practices
• ▪Collaborate closely with Product, and other engineering teams
• ▪Participate in hiring, onboarding, and career development of your team

Requirements

• ▪Experience in a scale-up or fast-growing product company
• ▪Strong experience as a Senior Backend Engineer with leadership exposure
• ▪Proven experience with leading and mentoring engineers
• ▪Solid backend development skills (e.g. Go, Java, Node.js , Python )
• ▪Experience with API design and distributed / microservices architectures
• ▪Good understanding of cloud-based production environments

Nice to have

• ▪Background in cybersecurity, networking, or large-scale systems
• ▪Experience with CI/CD, observability, and incident response
• ▪Interest in shaping engineering processes and long-term architecture
