This role is central to our 3PL warehousing business and requires a leader who combines strong operational expertise with daily, proactive customer engagement.
You will not only run the operation – you will be the primary face of DHL for our key customer, ensuring smooth cooperation, transparent communication, and a long-term partnership.
What you will be responsible for
- ▪Leading the end-to-end performance of the site across operations, safety, quality, cost, people, and customer satisfaction.
- ▪Maintaining daily contact with the customer: solving issues, aligning priorities, discussing performance, and ensuring both sides stay fully connected.
- ▪Building a strong, trusted relationship with customer leadership – partnership, transparency, and responsiveness are essential.
- ▪Driving a safe, standardized, and compliant warehousing operation with a continuous improvement mindset.
- ▪Leading, coaching, and developing Operations Managers and broader leadership teams.
- ▪Managing P&L, KPI structures, performance reviews, and operational planning.
- ▪Collaborating closely with HR, Finance, IT, Solutions Design, and other functions to ensure seamless operational delivery.
- ▪Identifying opportunities for optimization, operational development, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
What we expect
- ▪Strong experience in warehousing / 3PL logistics environment (e.g., e-commerce, retail, FMCG, contract logistics).
- ▪Excellent English and Slovak/Czech
- ▪Demonstrated leadership of large-scale logistics operations (distribution centers, fulfilment, contract logistics).
- ▪Confidence and professionalism in daily customer interaction at operational and managerial levels.
- ▪Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and ability to build long-term trust.
- ▪Proven ability to manage KPIs, drive results, and lead change.
- ▪Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
An advantage would be
- ▪International experience (study or work).
- ▪Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), Lean / CI, or major operational transformation.
- ▪Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting business development.
- ▪Leadership of multiple reporting layers.
